Description
Nikon presents the SMZ25, currently the world’s highest zoom stereo microscope with parallel light path. The 25x zoom enables a magnification of 6.3-157.5x with a 1x objective and 10x eyepieces, whereas the SMZ18 achieves a magnification of 7.5-135x. The magnification can be further extended with additional objectives and eyepieces.
With the newly developed Nikon objective series (SHR Plan Apo), the SMZ25 achieves a resolution of up to 1100LP/mm (SHR Plan Apo 2x, highest zoo level) and uniquely clear, high-contrast, flat and true-color images are obtained. A special highlight of the Nikon SMZ25 is the motorization of both the focus and the zoom. This allows you to easily create depth-of-field images with the Nikon microscope software NIS-Elements. At the same time, the software automatically recognizes the zoom position so that error-free measurements and scaling are possible.
The newly developed controller is used to operate the motorized SMZ25 and is suitable for both right and left-handed users. For example, focus, zoom, fluorescence filter blocks or transmitted light can be controlled. With the double objective adapter, the objectives can be changed quickly (parfocally adjusted) and a special locking point on the objective turret enables an axial view of your workpiece with the connected microscope camera. This eliminates the angular effect that often interferes with image documentation. The ergonomic tubes with adjustable viewing angle allow the user to make optimum adjustments to suit their needs and reduce fatigue when working for long periods by reducing strain on the neck, shoulders and back. Thanks to the modular design of the SMZ25 and SMZ18, coaxial lighting can be connected, further increasing the range of applications. Interesting for inspecting flat, recessed or reflective surfaces. A cross table (150x100mm or 150x65mm) is also available for the SMZ25 and SMZ18, enabling precise positioning of the workpiece or the creation of a panoramic image using Nikon’s NIS-Elements microscope software. The newly developed Nikon OCC LED transmitted light unit allows the light to be directed onto the specimen at an angle to achieve better contrast compared to simple straight transmitted light. The extra low design and adjustment of the illumination intensity from the front guarantees ergonomic working. Both the SMZ25 and the SMZ18 have the option of integrating a “Fly-Eye-Lens” fluorescence system, which guarantees bright and high-contrast images even at low magnifications. With the Nikon “Perfect Zoom System”, outstanding optical performance is achieved with a zoom ratio of 25:1 (SMZ25).
